The e-bike racing world is rapidly expanding with increasingly structured competitions and high-level athletes. The main disciplines are two: cross-country (E-XCO) and enduro (E-Enduro).
E-XCO races take place on loop courses with technical climbs and descents, typically covering distances between 20 and 50 km.
E-Enduro competitions consist of multiple special stages (PS) that combine timed sections of technical descents and challenging climbs, with transfers that are sometimes also timed.
Both disciplines require not only excellent riding skills and physical endurance but also knowledge in the management of the battery and the different assistance modes in order to achieve optimal performance.
The bike provided to the athletes is the GRAM dk (Dream Kit), the fully customizable GRAM frame kit. Available on our website or through THOK Points, it comes complete with a motor (choose between Shimano EP801 and Askoll Ultra C90A), an integrated 820Wh battery, and Fox suspension.
Eric was born in Paesana, in the province of Cuneo, and from a young age, he started riding a bike and pedaling.
His career in mountain biking began in the 90s.
He started by participating in cross-country competitions, but quickly transitioned to downhill (DH) due to his natural inclination for risk and his excellent riding skills.
He joined the Turro Racing Team (the same team as THOK CEO Stefano Migliorini, with whom he was a teammate) and won several titles: Italian DH Champion in the Junior, Under 23, and Elite categories, as well as numerous podiums in the World Cup and the DH World Championship.
After years of victories, he left the racing world to focus on work and family.
In 2020, by chance, he got on an e-bike and returned to competition, this time in the E-Enduro specialty.
Victories came quickly: in 2021, he became the Italian Vice-Champion FMI, in 2022, Italian Champion FMI and 2nd in the FCI Championship, in 2024, Italian Champion FMI in the Master category, 5th in the E-EWS stage in Finale Ligure, and 3rd in the stage in Switzerland.
In 2025, he will participate in the FMI and FCI E-Enduro Championships riding a THOK GRAM dk.

Wilfred Van De Haterd, of Dutch origin, has been part of the German MTB racing scene for a long time, competing in XC, Enduro, and DH.
As a youngster, he raced BMX for many years with great international success.
The transition to MTB, as with many athletes from the mid/late ’80s, happened naturally: he started with cross-country but quickly shifted to the newly emerging DH, which suited his bold nature.
He is one of the pioneers of Downhill and in 1991 participated in one of the first World Championships of the discipline, a time when even downhill races were still ridden with hardtails, narrow handlebars (often cut for ‘better aerodynamics’), and cantilever brakes.
Throughout his Downhill career, he achieved excellent results in the World Cup, World Championships, and the iXS European Cup.
In 2018, he started using the e-bike for winter training, and, like it happens to everyone, he never looked back. He immediately began competing and won, in 2020, the first E-EWS edition in the Master category.
In 2025, he will participate in various national and international competitions riding a GRAM dk equipped with:

Mirko Tabacchi is an internationally renowned athlete who competes in the XCO and E-XCO disciplines (muscular and electric cross-country).
He was born and raised in Pieve di Cadore – Belluno and started riding bikes by chance: after spending his childhood on ice hockey fields, at the age of 12 he got into triathlon and discovered that he was particularly effective in the cycling segment.
He then decided to try participating in a mountain bike (muscular) race and began his career in MTB cross-country.
With a precise, serious nature, and a strong focus on the goals he sets for himself, he joined the sports team of the Carabinieri Forestry Corps and won a lot: in 2013, he became the Italian XCO Champion; from 2019 to 2021, he was the Italian XCE Champion.
He also achieved great results in the European Championship (7th in 2020), in the World Cup (13th in 2017), in the World Championship (15th in 2020), and narrowly missed out on the Tokyo Olympics.
His first encounter with the e-bike was in 2016, with a bike purchased for his father. Surprised by the potential of the electric bike, which allows tackling routes otherwise impossible with a muscular one, he became passionate and in 2021 began racing in this category as well.
In just a few years, his e-bike achievements are significant: in 2022 and 2023, he was the Italian Vice-Champion in E-XCO; in 2024, he became the Italian E-XCO Champion, 5th in the E-XCO World Championship, and 3rd in the E-XCO World Cup.
In 2025, Mirko will take part in the Italian Championship, the World Cup, and the World Championship riding a THOK GRAM dk.
The bike, specifically prepared for him, will be equipped with:
