The EP801 drive unit that comes as standard with the GRAM dk already comes pre-installed with Shimano’s latest firmware update, which includes new features:

higher assistance level for BOOST mode;
a customisation of the assistance cut-off when reaching 25 km/h;
extended assistance when you stop pedalling. To activate the firmware you need to contact a Shimano Centre, soon you will be able to do it yourself via the E-Tube Project Cyclist app.

The Askoll ULTRA C90A power unit represents the culmination of decades of experience that Askoll, multinational company based in Vicenza, has gained in the field of electric motors. This made it possible to develop a drive unit with a first-class power-to-weight ratio: weighing just 2.9 kg, it is capable of delivering 250 W, reaching a peak of 1,200 W. The torque of 90 Nm is optimised for a range of 60-80 pedal strokes per minute with maximum support up to 138 rpm. In BOOST mode, torque reaches 110 Nm. The assistance is adjustable in five levels, offering support ranging from 80% to 400% of the force expressed by the rider.

Askoll ULTRA is equipped with the Sigma EOX technology set featuring the compact and efficient EOX Remote 500 intelligent controller, which shows in real time – via multi-coloured LEDs – the assistance mode in use and the battery charge level and, thanks to its 7 buttons, allows you to manage all the functions of the integrated Askoll ULTRA system.

ASSEMBLY

The assembly of the GRAM dk is carried out, in addition to THOK, by selected and authorised shops called Dream Builders:

1) The Dream Builder (besides THOK) is the only one authorised to assemble and homologate your GRAM.
The labour costs for assembly are borne by THOK E-Bikes.
The Dream Builder will assemble your frame and advise you on the choice of the rest of the components to be assembled.
You will be able to decide whether to use parts you already own or purchase new components.

2) When you pick up your GRAM dk, make sure that the Dream Builder has registered your personalised GRAM on the website for warranty activation, and make sure that you receive the Dream Box with the “Libellum”, THOK’s certificate of conformity attesting the uniqueness of your GRAM dk.

FULL CARBON COMFORT AND PERFECTION

Quality material, as well as the Gram’s lay-up and design have been devised and developed by THOK to be combined with very efficient geometries that ensure a perfect balance between flexibility and rigidity.

The unidirectional arrangement of the carbon fibres (UD Carbon) allows them to be excluded in areas where they are not needed because they are not used. This means more thickness at the points of maximum stress, less thickness where it is not needed. This ensures the Gram’s absolute endurance for Enduro use, maximum lightness, and at the same time extraordinary rigidity and riding comfort.

The Gram frame includes “high-resistance” carbon (more resistant, less rigid) and “high-modulus” carbon (more rigid, less resistant). Their balance in the distribution within the frame has been assessed through the use of FEM tests: angles, curves and junction points have been reinforced to ensure maximum resistance and flexibility: the motor area, head tube and rear stays are extremely rigid.

E-ENDURO CUSTOMISED GEOMETRY

By using carbon, Gram did not need to make any structural compromises. Its geometry was developed with a “zero limits” mindset. New angles, new lines, new shapes, excellence. From riders for e-riders: the lines of the frame are the combination of all our know-how, our many years of experience as passionate riders, our pursuit of adventure and freedom. With the Gram you will ride on undreamed-of trails, Enduro will no longer have any limits.

Angles are major players in frame design. Even a small degree difference will alter your pedalling and riding position, traction and riding precision, as well as safety and comfort.

The Gram’s seat tube has been verticalised with a 78° angle to ensure maximum pedalling efficiency and extreme traction on climbs, as the rider’s weight is shifted forward (preventing bike wheelies).

It has an open steering angle of 64°. This enables the bike to go over obstacles without stumbling (avoiding OTB-Over The Bar) and, thanks to the advanced off-set, makes the bike both easy to handle and stable.

The Gram’s innovative steering area features the Big Eye at its centre: simple and perfect magnificence. The BIG EYE is the beating heart of the Gram: it is one of the elements on which THOK’s research and development centre has focused the most. It decreases the load in the head tube area during use on very bumpy enduro trails, while still guaranteeing maximum rigidity and steering precision.

A true E-Enduro force of nature, the Gram has a Viper Head Plus top tube with a headset recess. This provides a lowered position for the handlebar area and consequently a more forward position for the rider on the front end.

In other words: maximum riding stability even in extreme E-Enduro sections. Thanks also to the reduced stand-over provided by the great inclination of the top tube, no climb will be impossible.

THOK PROGRESSIVE SYSTEM 2.

The new TPS-2 suspension system designed by THOK E-Bikes increases the progressivity of the kinematics and optimises its use in Enduro.
The rear wheel travel is extremely progressive: it absorbs all types of obstacles when riding downhill and ensures maximum traction with climbs.
The new full carbon rocker with symmetrical cushioning contributes to zero bending.
The TPS-2 features polygonal seat-stay and asymmetrical one-piece chain-stay.

Dream Builders, on the other hand, will also be able to assemble the frame set with components used or purchased on other channels than THOK.
Once assembled, the bike must be collected personally by the owner from THOK E-Bikes or the Dream Builder.

DELIVERY AND SETUP

If you decide to assemble your GRAM dk through THOK Point (Dream Builder), you can decide whether to use your own components or new components. In both cases they must conform and be compatible with the GRAM geometry.
The Dream Builder, who is aware of the compatibility, will be able to recommend suitable accessories.
The Dream Builder will also take care of setting up the saddle with the corresponding suspension SAG and tyre pressure, and will give you tips on setting up the motor and, if necessary, on the most suitable clothing for using the ebike.
